[To Struggling Therapists] How to Break Free from Self-Sacrificing Treatments and Bring Enrichment to Both Yourself and Your Clients
This is a letter to the many therapists who are struggling.
There is a strong conviction behind my decision to introduce the “Heaven School” and “Earth School” to practitioners and therapists. It stems from the reality that the more a therapist desperately hones their skills and devotes themselves wholeheartedly to others, the more likely they are to become physically and mentally exhausted. I absolutely do not want such sincere individuals, who are so dedicated to helping others, to see their careers cut short—that very desire is the driving force behind this initiative.
The Reasons Behind Therapists’ Exhaustion
I see clients who are therapists at deep-tissue massage salons and oil massage studios. One cause of their exhaustion is physical strain. For example, some deep-tissue massage salons teach techniques that place a heavy burden on the therapists.
In many deep-tissue massage salons, therapists are currently instructed to apply strong pressure using their body weight when treating clients with severely stiff muscles. I was utterly shocked to hear that some companies even conduct unbelievable training sessions, instructing therapists to “perform treatments with a sense of resentment toward clients.” The thought of having such negative emotions channeled into a treatment is enough to make one break out in a cold sweat.
In fact, one of my clients suffered severe impairment in the grip strength of their fingers and hands and ultimately quit that company. I believe that was a wise decision. In addition, I have clients who are therapists themselves and come rushing to me for treatment, complaining of lower back pain or back pain. It is essential to correct these flawed technical approaches.
Furthermore, the issue isn’t limited to these physical strains; therapists can also end up directly absorbing the negative energy carried by their clients. As a result, it’s not uncommon for the therapist’s own body to feel heavy and sluggish, leading to various health issues. Even if they realize they’re susceptible to absorbing negative energy, they often lack the skills to protect themselves from it. This applies not only to bodywork practitioners and therapists but also to hairdressers who touch others. It’s essential to acquire defensive techniques for entering another person’s energy field.
What You’ll Gain at My School
First is the “Earth School.”
The primary focus of the “Earth School” curriculum is mastering the physical techniques that form the foundation of bodywork. Here, forceful tension is completely unnecessary. Far from it—applying pressure by bearing down with one’s full body weight is a practice that is far removed from the true essence of bodywork. Rather, we place great importance on the process of thoroughly eliminating unnecessary arm strength and pressure. By doing so, we enable clients to feel a distinct resonance and tangible response while freeing their bodies from deep-seated tension.
Furthermore, you can master delicate adjustment techniques that realign joints with just the slightest touch. Many students are uniformly surprised by the sheer lightness of the touch, asking, “Is it really okay to use such a gentle touch?” However, within the quiet act of simply touching, you will come to realize a profound sensation: that within your mind, the joints are being moved—or are moving naturally—with certainty. If you can make your fingertips and palms function not merely as sources of force but as precise “sensors,” you will clearly perceive your client’s muscles relaxing and the subtle movements of their joints. Above all, you will gain a deep, tangible sense of the “Ki energy”—the very source of life—circulating freely without obstruction. At the same time, you will also learn how to cultivate a mindset for self-protection and physical defense techniques.
Once you have mastered a reliable approach to the body field through your studies at the “Earth School,” your subsequent exploration at the “Heaven School” will prove to be of immeasurable benefit to you. In my theory, the primary cause of physical and mental imbalances is none other than disturbances in the invisible energy field. While the “Earth School” touches on the basics of this, the “Heaven School” delves even deeper, focusing specifically on this energy field itself. If you can deeply understand how to perceive this realm and master precise methods for adjusting it, you will be able to elevate your own energy field to a more unwavering and robust state.
To Those Who Have Chosen the Calling of a Therapist
As you walk the path of the noble calling of a therapist, you play an extremely important role in contributing to others and guiding their vibrations to a higher plane. When your own energy is elevated to the realm of “Power” (from *Power vs. Force* by David R. Hawkins), you will be able to lift your clients to even greater heights—and this will be an immeasurable blessing for the many people who remain in the realm of “Force.” Please take it deeply to heart that your efforts to raise your own vibration will help elevate the energy of the entire world. I earnestly hope to send as many therapists as possible—therapists who radiate such true brilliance—out into the world.
